Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.
Matt 4:4
The Question is; Are you in a position to hear, and are you listening?
Do you let His Holy Spirit write to your heart?
Do you continue in the same direction?
Do you let His Holy Spirit write to your heart?
Do you continue in the same direction?
Are you a Keeper?
We
know that to hear the words of God we must position ourselves by our
choices and actions to live close, relative to His throne. You can't
hear the words of God if you are not near Him, and you can't discern
His words unless you know Him.
The Greek used here for "Word" is Rhema- which is that which issues from the lips.
This I believe, is as the better portion. Like the Manna from heaven, Time spent attending to His word in your life, prepares you to receive from Him a word that you can grasp hold of.

His Rhema is unique and baked just for you.
(as it is written - The Better Portion; Mary and Martha)

May we be Keepers of His Words.

I find it intriguing that today is the day many break bread.
So I'll add both Yesterday and Today's Scripture as it presses to the forefront is on the Receiving of The Son of God. (There is a Rod and a Staff ( - | + ) All scripture is breathed out by God that we may walk in the right direction)
Paul speaks of what happens if/ we receive of Him in an unworthy manner. He calls us to Judge ourselves with Right Judgement- His is the Sword of the Spirit, and the Bread of Life.

"But if we judged ourselves truly, we would not be judged. But when we are judged by the Lord, we are disciplined so that we may not be condemned with the world."
