October's Dualistic Nature

 “Knowledge is Proud to have learned so much ;
   Wisdom is Humble to know no more. “
                                                              - my Mother

There is a quiet desperation of Spirit in the month of October,
a certain beauteous frailty among the meek and humble.
When confronted with the Dread Majesty of God,
man bears witness to his weakness and must choose.

The month of October has a dualistic nature.  This month is polarized in that it brings forth in man the nature of the Holy or the Profane among the peoples of the Earth.

October in Latin is Octō meaning "eight" 8
On one hand the Jewish enter October with a burst of Fall color and harvest fruits.  Rosh Hashannah begins the New Year,  with tidings of Sweetness, Happiness and Health. Then comes Yom Kippur; a time of solemn Sanctification and Purification.  Then comes Sukkot  “Feast of Booths” in remembrance of our permanent home with Him.    This month is extremely special in that there are 3 High and Holy days in the first half of the month in reorientation to God.

On the other hand,  for the people of the Nations, October marks the beginning of descent into darkness.  More recently in the News; some are maliciously dressing as clowns to disturb one another.   Fall festivals are in anticipation of hardship,  given to debauchery and drunkenness,  and by the end of the month the children play,  bearing the images of demons and whores Oct. 31 (Halloween)

If the veils between worlds are indeed the thinnest this month,   then it is clear by the polarity of action and intention, which peoples are casting their lots to dwell with Him forever.

It is the universe and time that is set in motion;  He never changes.
