Dogs' Noses "I don't Sin"

"I don't Sin"
Every once in a while, I come across an interesting comment.  This one certainly gave me reason to pause.

I have been through some sticky situations, in which I had to rely on He who is greater than myself. But one of the most important lessons on Man's inferiority, and God's Superiority was taught to me by the family dog.

There I was, in a deep depression, cooking dinner over a tiny stove.  My ExBF said something off the cuff, and as was my habit, I let it go.   It was then, when Bowie took a guarding stance and growled at the man.  Now, I might ignore a lot of things,  but I would not ignore my dog.

When a man says "I don't sin" You can bet there's a whole closet full of dead men's bones in that sarcophagus.  So here was my reply:

A Dog's Nose

A Dogs' sense of smell overpowers our own by orders of magnitude—it's 10,000 to 100,000 times as acute, scientists say. "Let's suppose they're just 10,000 times better," says James Walker, former director of the Sensory Research Institute at Florida State University, who, with several colleagues, came up with that jaw-dropping estimate during a rigorously designed, oft-cited study. "If you make the analogy to vision, what you and I can see at a third of a mile, a dog could see more than 3,000 miles away and still see as well."

I trust a Dog's nose over my own.
I trust God's Eyesight to my own.
It's all about Humility in the face of Objective Perspective.

A dog can smell more on a man than the cologne he uses to cover himself up. While a man thinks he's clean, the Dog can smell corruption, and some dogs can detect Cancer. Truly they are Man's best friend.

For a man to say "I don't sin" is to say "I don't need to bathe" .
(I've known some, the delusion gets REAL- Trust me)

But we know that He is the Judge before whom, the hearts of men lay exposed in all their transgression and wickedness. The Law is a gift that every man might, By Reason, come to know his need for salvation. If a man is willing to look into the mirror of Righteousness, he will truly see himself as he is. An honest man will tell you it is difficult, as he himself knows all too well how his mind and his heart wanders.

How high are the standards of God's Righteousness! If you've ever looked at a woman with lust in your heart, you've committed adultery. If you've ever stolen anything in your life, that makes you a thief. If you've ever lied, you're a liar. It isn't enough to say "I keep myself from sinning", There's also the trouble of removing the stains of old sins we committed in the ignorance of youth.

Every Sin, leaves a horrible stain, and only the Blood of the Lamb can cleanse you to be rendered "Redeemed". Then, once you've been cleaned then you may keep from sinning. But to say "I've not sinned" is to never bother to even bathe in the first place.

Jesus' gift is free. He simply asks that you live and walk in the light of Truth of yourself, and lean on His Grace for Eternal Life.

The downside that people are unwilling to face, is just as the dog sniffs out corruption, those who refuse His gift of atonement will receive the consequence of Eternal Damnation.
