Perspective: A balanced hatchet

Happy Spring! Huzzah Hooray!
Thunder and lightening marks the way
to tender leaf's belief!
Hear the songbirds of the day,
sing sweetly their refrain

Listen in with pregnant pause
Persephone takes stage
At His command, directing all to silence

Soft as the breeze arises to the chiming chorus
of Spring and promises fulfilled!
From: life  To: Life Eternal

Our sense of humor is relative to our faith and stability in Him.

The sickle of winter's blade has cut off the dead rot, and what a sharp blade it is!
The wicked witch of the west lay dead and that which made the cutting room floor bursts forth with renewed vigor and vibrancy.   I can almost hear the Munchkins singing of the Lollipop guild.

Comparative Literature!
"That old shoe was grubby anyway
out with the old, in with the new! "

Ever listened to a comedian fail at the mic?
its painful and offensive to the listener.
There's a reason people brought tomatoes to the Apollo Theater.

A bad comic invites the Ides of March upon himself.  Thankfully we have St Patrick's' day to look forward to.  To pass from Death to Life is to make the final cut.

Et tu Brute? (^__^)

Humor is a very strong subject with me.   I find humor to be Serious Business™

On the other side of the scalpel's edge is the hope in sweet healing.   Mark 5:34-6 +
on Jokes, Sleep and his brother Death and that cutting room floor.   You know the story of the woman with the issue of blood. She reaches out and touches the hem of his garment, and the whole show comes to a grinding halt as Jesus singles her out from amidst the swarming throng of people. When she stands and admits the truth Jesus says to her -  "Your faith has saved you"

The word for "saved" in both these passage is the Greek word Sozo.
Strong's Greek: 4982. σώζω (sózó) -- healing -  to save
Thayer's Greek Lexicon. ... , Luke 7:50 (others understand this as including spiritual healing (see b. below)); Luke 8:48; ... he who is able to be saved. There are other passages in which Jesus illustrates the truth, gains admiration and shames the pharisees and saducees by means of a play on words.
🍀Jesus is indeed the most clever clover of them all 🍀

Sozo is a cutting word.   A braving up to a turning point as if by definition the passage in Mark 5:34 illustrates the Severity of Salvation,  Jesus as Judge, and the moxy inherent in the true believer.   Jesus blesses the woman's forthrightness and integrity of faith.

Of the Forthright-  That which is in your heart inspires your actions and bears witness to who you are, and to whom you belong.  That image of who you are in your heart is either a true or false version of who God is. Not to be judged by man, but known in the Spirit.

In the New Testament earnestness and integrity are honored far above surface kindnesses (now found to be in corporate-psych operations manuals).  People went out on a limb for their faith. They knew what they knew and proclaimed it boldly. In Mark 5 the  consequence was in facing the potential wrath of God.

 Are we having fun yet?

The sugar, like frosting is up top :)

Getting to know Him;  Psalm 1 and 2 are of extreme importance.   Psalm 1 illustrates the peace, joy and above all enduring confidence, stability and strength found in those who make Him his home.

He is like a tree planted near streams of water, which bears his fruit in its season.   His life is far from worries or troubles,  far from the angst of a tree planted in the desert.  Psalm 2 illustrates the nature of God's personality, and the consequences that follow where plotting and raging against the Lord results in imagery likened unto a sledgehammer against a clay vessel.

This box has a function, to train up those who are His, in spirit and in truth;  and the Father's tastes are very distinct.  Know that the Father is exacting, and that he is unchanging.
. . .  seriously. (^___^)

I'm taking the Rainbow Back
I am tired of people holding to an inaccurate, watered down, flimsy version of God the Father. They would liken Him to one who does not intend to harvest the earth for the express purpose of appraising,  choosing and judging, what is kept and what is discarded.

The standard of measurement is the Son.

Knowing that the Son is well-pleasing to the Father,  illustrates that the Father the Son and the Spirit are One and in agreement.  When we are in alignment with the Father,  we also find our human emotions have a function and a set purpose towards the inclusion of a few, and the exclusion of many.  That we may know the truth,  so that we may taste the rainbow and judge with right judgement, for ourselves, what is good, and what is bad.
